This exceptional coffee comes from one of the most respected coffee-growing areas in the world, the Aceh region of northern Indonesia. Grown in the highlands near Takengon, this coffee is produced from the prized Gayo Arabica tree, known for its consistently high quality and rich, nuanced flavor profile. The region’s volcanic soil, high elevation, abundant rainfall, and shaded growing environment create ideal conditions for producing a truly remarkable bean. Coffee plants here thrive beneath a natural canopy of banana, avocado, and lamtoro trees, which helps slow maturation and allows complex flavors to fully develop.
